Local Road Improvement Project Submit comments to Anita Benson, Lyon County Engineer. When submitting comments use Local Road Improvement as your subject The Road & Bridge Department has developed options for a 14 Year Improvement Plan for existing County funded paved roads. It is my hope that with your help we can work together to develop a plan that will improve our local road system. Plan options have been developed as follows. Map of County Funded Paved Roads Map of County Funded Paved Roads PCI Rating Plan A - Maintains pavement on all County Funded roads that currently are paved. This plan is the most expensive with a total estimated cost of $5,000,000 dollars over the 14 year time period. Plan A Construction & Maintenance - Funding 14 Year Plan Plan A County Funded Paved Roads - Working Levy Plan B - Maintains paved roads based on criteria such as traffic, cost, distance to closest paved parallel route, existing condition, etc. This plan is the least expensive with a total estimated cost of $3,000,000 over the 14 year time period. Plan B Construction & Maintenance - Funding 14 Year Plan Plan B County Funded Paved Roads - Working Levy Plan C - Plan to be developed through public involvement process for Board adoption and implementation. Plan C - Local Road Improvement Plan The attached documents include maps showing the County funded roads and their condition in the Spring of 2003. General information is provided regarding plan development including funding options. This is followed by more detailed Plan A and B options for a 14 Year Road Improvement Plan. Jan 29, 2004 - Minutes Public Hearing to gain specific direction for the development of Plan C. Apr 22, 2004, 7:00pm Public hearing to present a draft Plan C for the public and County Boards' consideration. Additional meetings will be held as needed to ensure full public participation in the development of Plan C.
