Part Time Deputy Sheriff

Lyon County is hiring a part-time Deputy Sheriff position. Applicants must be POST licensed, or eligible to be licensed at the time of hire; and possess a valid MN driver license. This is an on call position with no regularly scheduled hours. Experience is preferred but not required. Successful applicants must also pass a pre-employment background investigation and criminal history check as well as successful completion of a pre-employment physical including a drug and alcohol screening test prior to hire.  Starting pay range is from $23.27 to $32.56, based on experience. Correctional Officer

Lyon County is accepting applications for the position of full-time Correctional Officer; females are encouraged to apply.  Minimum Qualifications Include: high school diploma and valid driver’s license. The current range of hourly pay is $18.43-$25.79, with two pay increases in the first year of employment, and full county benefits.
