Lyon County is hiring a full time Sign Worker. Under the general supervision of the Highway Maintenance Superintendent, this position is to perform installation, maintenance, and asset management of all traffic signs for Lyon County highways. The individual hired for this position will provide sign design and standards guidance to Lyon County townships and small cities as well as performing semi-skilled labor involving manual skills, computer skills, and the use of specialized equipment in the fabrication, installation and repair of highway signs and pavement markings. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Two (2) year related post-secondary degree, and two (2) years’ experience in highway sign installation, maintenance, and management; and/or equipment operation; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience above. Individual must possess a Class “A” commercial driver's license and be proficient in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to use computers and software. CPR/First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire is also required. This position is overtime eligible with a salary range of $19.34-$27.07 and comes with the Lyon County full benefit package.
