Waste Electronics Recycling and Disposal



Electronic and electrical products surround us — from computers, televisions and stereo equipment, to small appliances like irons and cellular phones. Huge numbers of these products wear out or become obsolete, creating a challenge for their safe disposal.

HOUSEHOLD CRT BAN
As of July 1, 2006, all electronic equipment with Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) will be banned from Minnesota landfills. This pertains to businesses, schools, governments agencies, not for profit institutions and households. Click HERE for Southwest Minnesota CRT disposal options.


BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS AND ORGANIZATIONS in Minnesota are prohibited from disposing electronic devices and components in municipal waste (trash). Click HERE for more information from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA)


REUSE AND RECYCLING OPTIONS
