Pipestone County Recyclable Materials

Pipestone County offers recycling to all of the citizens of the county.
Curbside pick-up is offered in the towns of Pipestone, Edgerton, Jasper and Ruthton.
Recycling sheds are located in all of the towns of Pipestone County for the rural residents' use.

PREPARATION:

Bag in paper bags, box or bundle.

Break down and flatten boxes. Place paper bags inside another bag.

Remove any liners, cellophane or plastic. Flatten package and place in bags.

Rinse/clean. Remove caps or covers. No need to remove lables.

* Cut down boxes, flatten and tie in bundles (3' X 3' bundles) or place in cardboard box.

* No paper milk cartons or paperboard (pop cartons, pizza & cereal boxes, etc.) accepted with any recyclables. These must be put into the garbage.

Newsprint may be put in the recycling shed.
Rule of Thumb: If it will not repel water, it is okay to recycle.

newsprint may be put in the Boy Scout trailer in Pipestone along with office paper and mixed ads. Boy Scouts will accept magazines but they must be kept separate from other paper! DO NOT put envelopes with the paper as the glue gums up the recycling machines!
