NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids/proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19th, 2025 at the Lyon County Government Center, 607 West Main Street in Marshall, MN by Aurora Heard, Lyon County Auditor/Treasurer on behalf of the Board of Commissioners for the project listed below. 

 

CONTRACT 2025-2: COUNTYWIDE BITUMINOUS PAVING

S.A.P. 042-608-033, S.A.P. 042-610-044, S.A.P. 042-624-019

 

Major Quantities Comprising Approximately:

 

TYPE SP12.5 WEARING COURSE MIXTURE (3,B) (2360)                     22,388 TONS

TYPE SP4.75 WEARING COURSE MIXTURE (3,B) (2360)                     5,988 TONS

SHOULDER BASE AGGREGATE CLASS 5 MOD                                   8,260 TONS

MILL BITIMINOUS SURFACE (1.5”)                                                        58,004 SQ YD

Paper plans/proposals may be examined at the Lyon County Highway Department (1).

 

Paper plans/proposals may be purchased from the Lyon County Highway Department for a fee of $75.00 plus $10 shipping.  Make checks payable to Lyon County Highway Department and send payment to Lyon County Highway Department, Attention: Plan Request, 504 Fairgrounds Road, Marshall, MN  56258 (1). 

 

***ONLY REGISTERED PLAN HOLDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BID ON PROJECTS (1)

 

(1) In order to be a registered plan holder you must purchase a paper plan/proposal set OR sign in to the public dashboard website and download the appropriate bid documents.

 

All Proposals must be on forms furnished by the Lyon County Engineer.  Sealed Bids should be mailed to Aurora Heard, Lyon County Auditor/Treasurer, 607 West Main Street, Marshall, MN, 56258 and should be clearly marked as sealed bid for Contract 2025-2.  Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bidder’s bond, payable to the Lyon County Treasurer, for at least 5% of the amount bid. 

 

The Lyon County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities thereof.

PLAN AND PROPOSAL DOWNLOADS

Plans and Proposals will now be available free of charge by downloading Plan and Proposal PDF files from this website. Proposals downloaded from this website will not have the Schedule of Prices sheets or Back Sheet included. If desired, Bidder may obtain a printed copy of Plans and Proposal for the amount listed in the Notice by contacting Angela Boerboom at the Lyon County Highway Department at angelaboerboom@co.lyon.mn.us or by calling 507-532-8205. IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are a Bidder who chooses to download bidding documents from this website, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to complete the information in the attached PDF file and send it to the Lyon County Highway Department. After this information is received by Lyon County, the Schedule of Prices sheets and Back Sheet will be emailed to you for bidding purposes. You will also receive any Addendum that may be issued on the Project. When submitting a sealed bid, the complete Proposal, along with the Schedule of Prices sheets and Back Sheet, must be submitted.
