Services & Responsibilities

The Lyon County Veteran Service Officer (CVSO) and Assistant County Veteran Service Officer (ACVSO) are military advocates and fellow veterans who are trained to serve military veterans and their families. The CVSO and ACVSO stays up to date on laws and regulations regarding state and federal veteran benefits. The CVSO and ACVSO are responsible for attaining knowledge on the continually changing array of benefits to stay effective in every aspect of the job.  Military veterans and families in the Lyon County area are encouraged to contact the CVSO or ACVSO for any assistance that they may need.
